hospital insurance. It covers
inpatient hospital care; skilled
nursing care following
hospitalization; some cupational,
speech, or physical therapists;
and hospice services, but only
after the patient pays an initial
deductible and any copayments.)
( Medicare Part B- is medical
insurance. It is optional but most
people choose this coverage. This
plan covers 80% of the
“customary and usual” rates
charged by providers’ fees,
Medicare Part B covers: medically
necessary ambulance transport;
physical, speech, and
occupational therapy; home
health services when medically
outpatient surgery or blood
transfusions. Patient is
responsible for the remaining
20%of the costs the difference
between the actual fee and the
government’s “customary and
usual” rate. )

companies approved by
Medicare to individuals who are
eligible for Part A and enrolled in
Part B.)
(Medicare Part D- Prescription
drug coverage, is a voluntary plan
available to anyone enrolled in
Part A or B of Medicare. It
includes both stand- alone
prescription plans and Medicare
Advantage drug plans. )

medication costs may experience
