RCRT 4790 Medical and Clinical Aspects of Recreation Therapy II Rubric for Diagnostic Outline- Dementia Assignment Description : Each student will create a diagnostic outline on TBI following the directions below. Each outline is worth up to 10 individual points. The outlines need to be created in the template below and dropped into the assignment drop box by the due date. Each outline should be saved both as a hard copy and a computer copy. The outlines, if done correctly are helpful when studying for the class exams and the national exam. The Diagnostic Outline assignment should be set up as follows: Specific Diagnostic Name across the top – Dementias 1. Diagnostic Definition - Define in full sentence(s) what Neurocognitive are in general. Include the definition of major neurocognitive disorder and mild neurocognitive disorder. 2. Define the sub types of dementias with a brief definition include symptoms and defining characteristics include Delirium, Alzheimer’s, Vascular, Lewy Body, and Frontotemporal NCDs. 3. Use the book and write all the areas of concern for RT assessment. (pg.248). 4. Based on numbers 1 – 3 above; List three (3) interventions that would be therapeutic for individuals with this disorder 5. List 1 expected outcome per intervention that would occur from participation in the intervention with the corresponding ICF codes. 6. Connect the Intervention and the ICF code to the Outcome: 1. Describe why participation in the intervention would produce the outcome. Make sure your ICF code is connected in the explanation. Use full sentences. Make sure to think about why the patient would be affected by participation and why the ICF code is relevant if you were using it to seek reimbursement. 7. Use this template and see example.
