WHAT I WILL DO PROACTIVELY TO PREVENT OR REDUCE M 2 What I Will Do Proactively to Prevent or Reduce Misbehavior What steps will I take to prevent or limit the known causes of misbehavior that might otherwise influence my classes? Misbehavior is something that, as an educator, I will have to deal with, but if I have an effective classroom management system, it will help when dealing with it. When dealing with misbehavior in the classroom, I will take a few actions or steps to reduce or stop misconduct. The first step that I would take would be to send out my classroom rules and expectations to the students and parents before starting the school year. I will do this because I want everyone to agree with them and want them to understand them. With those expectations, I want to remain consistent and impartial in my implementation. Next, planning is the top way to assist with having misbehavior. Planning will allow me to create lessons that students will find enjoyable, in which they are focusing and paying attention. When students are no longer interested in the learning material, they sometimes tend to act out. Planning different activities and the amount of time in which I will be teaching will help. Having set times and routines for instruction will allow my classroom management to work efficiently. I also must take into account that all students are different and respond differently to learning. Some students are audio learners, and some are also either visual, physical, or verbal learners. Making sure I plan accordingly to how my students learn will prevent disengagement. Also, under the planning category would be for me to make sure that students are in seat arrangements, limiting them from misbehaving. An example would be if I had a student who had a buddy in class, and every time those two got together, they would always get into trouble. Sitting those two students together would set them up for failure to misbehave and set me up to fail to limit that misconduct. Making sure those two students are far away from each other during
