a.
How many calories per serving are contributed by saturated fat? 1 gram of saturated fat = 9 calories. Therefore, 4.59 grams of saturated fat contribute 4.59 x 9 = 41.31 calories per serving
.
b.
How many calories per serving are contributed by unsaturated
fat? Hint: total fat – saturated fat = unsaturated fat
Total calories contributed by fat = 7 grams of fat x 9 calories per gram of fat = 63 calories
Calories contributed by saturated fat = 41.31 calories
Therefore, calories contributed by unsaturated fat = 63 calories - 41.31 calories = 21.69 calories per serving.
c.
How many pieces of chocolate are there in a whole bar (container)?
The nutrition label says that there are about 8 servings per container. Since each serving is 3 pieces of chocolate, there are a total of 8 servings x 3 pieces per serving = 24 pieces of chocolate in a whole bar.
