LEARNING OBJECTIVE(S): Students will be able to demonstrate proper technique in the overhand serve in volleyball, including consistent ball placement, use of the non-dominant hand to guide the ball, and a controlled follow-through." In addition, volleyball improves hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and balance. Playing the game of volleyball helps improve on decision making. They will also gain an understanding of the rules, strategies, and teamwork necessary for successful volleyball play." PURPOSE OF LEARNING Why do students need to learn this today? This should be written in what you will say to students and should include both why it is important to the content and why it is relevant in their lives. "Learning volleyball equips students with valuable life skills that extend beyond the court. It fosters teamwork, communication, and cooperation, which are essential in various aspects of life, from group projects in school to future careers. Additionally, mastering the fundamentals of volleyball promotes physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, providing students with the tools to maintain their well- being throughout their lives. Furthermore, it offers an opportunity for social interaction, helping students build friendships, develop social skills, and create lasting memories. Learning volleyball is not just about playing a sport; it's about acquiring skills and values that will benefit students in their personal, academic, and professional journeys." Begin with a brief warm-up activity, such as jogging around the court, jumping jacks, or dynamic stretches. 2.
