I’m not familiar with the Tulsa Massacre outside of knowing that it was one of the distinctive events leading to the Civil Rights Movement within the United States. Describe the beliefs, assumptions, and values you have related to the topic you chose.
To My understanding The Tulsa Massacre began with the looting and rioting In the city of Tulsa. Which led to Martial Law and the injury and deaths of many African-American residents of the City. Explain why this topic is relevant to current events or to modern society.
Race has always been an extremely polarizing topic within the United States. Even in 2023 we see pockets of perceived prejudice against different races and cultures. One recent event was the riot in Minneapolis and the occupation of a police precinct in response to the death of George Floyd inflicted by police. 1
