Accessed September 18, 2023. https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1057&context=sod_fac_pubs . In this article, McGee compares and contrasts two beliefs in the creation story of Genesis that are both popular in the evangelical church. Boyd, Steven W. “The Last Week before the Flood.” Answers in Genesis . Last modified August 17, 2016. Accessed September 18, 2023. https://answersresearchjournal.org/last-week-before- the-flood/. This article by Boyd looks at the flood account of Noah from a slightly different view than mainstream churches, proponents for the flood, and antagonists of the flood. He dives into the commands God gives both Noah and his family, as well as the animals, in the week leading up to the flood. Additionally, Boyd looks heavily into the specific Hebrew word used for “flood” in Genesis: Mabbul. Wise, Kurt P. Faith, Form, and Time: What the Bible Teaches and Science Confirms about Creation and the Age of the Universe . Nashville, TN: Broadman & Holman, 2002. (Chapter 6) In this specific chapter of his work, Wise digs into the making of the Heavens according to the creation account in Genesis. More specifically, Wise gives compelling evidence via the law of Relativity as well as the Second Law of Thermodynamics, adventuring into the topic of usable energy in our world today and where that usable energy came from and is going. Ham, Ken, Hugh Ross, Deborah B. Haarsma, Stephen C. Meyer, and James B. Stump. Four Views on Creation, Evolution, and Intelligent Design . Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2017. (Chapter 2) This works by multiple authors, with differing views on creation, looks at the different theories held for the creation of the universe and Earth as we know it. Chapter two, specifically, is on Progressive Day-Age Creation and is written by Hugh Ross, along with a response by Ken Ham. Ross lays out seven different interpretations on Old Earth creationism as well as homing in on the Hebrew word “yom” interpreted for “day” and gives four distinct definitions in Biblical Hebrew.
