Summary: The fourth amendment is basically the rights we have, as a citizen, unless a law official has probable cause which means a warrant issued by a judge, that also believes a crime has been a committed, or will be committed based on facts and important information. If you voluntarily give consent, you are giving your rights up and allowing law officials to search and seize your property and you may be subject to arrest if they find anything. Citizens’ Rights: Identify a real-world example of where citizens’ rights under the Bill of Rights may not be guaranteed. Let’s say the police has a warrant to search your car, but then ends up searching your house.
