Introduction
A.
Political power and ruling justly have been a big issue for centuries.

and
The Analects of Confucius

that justice is oftentimes not fair for either party involved.

Overview of how
The Prince
explores the theme of Justice

The Prince shows justice by arguing that a prince is his strongest when he is true
friends with his allies and he does all he does with respect.

and also how they have failed.

Having a reputation for not being generous is something a Prince must endure for the
greater good later on.

"A generous ruler will have to lay extraordinary burdens upon the people, to
levy excessive taxes, and to do everything he can possibly do to raise money.”
2.
"A Prince either spends his own money or that of his subjects"
V.
Overview of how
The Analects of Confucius
explores the theme of Justice
A.
The Analects of Confucius shows the theme of justice by exploring "goodness" and
"fairness."
B.
The Analects by Confucius is an ancient Chinese text of teachings. Confucius talks
about his own life and offers a guideline of behaviors for his followers.
VI.
Work II Claim I
A.
Confucius uses examples of how different leaders ruled well and badly to offer a
comparison of wrong and "rightist" choices.
1.
"The gentleman understands rightness, whereas the petty person understands
profit"
2.
Yan Hui and Zhonggong conversation with The Master about "goodness"
VII.
Work II Claim II
A.
Analects shows how attitudes can greatly change the way you are perceived in
power.
1
1.
"Kong Anguo reports the opinion that "what this means is that if one is not able
to be sinceare and serious, one will lack a demeanor that would inspire respect
in others, and will also be unable to firmly grasp the underlying ethical
principles of what one is taught""
2.
"The Master" argues that justice is can be taken in different ways by how you
treat god and others originally.
VIII. Conclusion
A.
Both works argue that attitude and respect are key in ruling justly; being a leader you
will be placed with a lot of hard decisions, and sometimes the decisions you make
