The year 1989 is the year of the end of the cold war. During this time, all around the world, signs

same reason. There were economic struggles, people wanting freedom of religion, political
problems, and searching for a better life and greater opportunity. In the earlier years,
immigration waves were popping up in larger urban areas. But in the 1990’s, many of these
immigrants were wealthy and college educated, unlike the usual poor and uneducated. In the
past, immigrants were discriminated against for their ethnicity and religion, but the new
generation immigrants were coming at a time during diversity being praised.

Assess the role of the supreme court in the presidential election of 2000.
The Supreme court was called in to assess Florida’s votes to clear any confusion. The Supreme
Court called for the recount to be halted, then debated if the recount was constitutional or not.
It was decided that a statewide recount would not be carried out equally and it was deemed
unconstitutional. Although this decision was only applied to Florida during the election of 2000,
the real role as to stopping the recount was to end dragging out the lengthy process.
