What
types
of primary and secondary sources will you need to use to support the topic
you are examining in your essay? You don't need the actual sources yet, but you should
have an idea of what they might be (such as an eyewitness account of an event, for
example).
Some secondary sources would be books written by historians. I found one called "The Great
Depression: 1921-1941". There was also a book containing letters that were written by people
alive during the depression. For primary sources, I would refer to the letters in the book I just
mentioned and I would look for newspaper articles from that time period.

What are two or three keywords you could use to look for sources to answer this
question?
A few keywords I would use are: Brooklyn, Bridge, Sandhogs

What subject terms can you use to continue your search?
I would use subject terms like Tunnels, Labor Unions, Construction, and New York City.
Module 2 Short Responses – Question 4
When you search for "construction," you get a lot of extraneous answers. What
[?]Boolean operators[/?] and corresponding search terms could you use to narrow your
search?
Some Boolean operators that could help are Construction AND Labor Unions. New York City
AND Labor Unions AND Tunnels.
