It can be in society’s best interest to help re-integrate criminals back into society due to it
can cause criminals to develop a more sense of belonging and adjust to the ways of society.
The
ability to be free of criminal activity is a form of re-integration, which is also a corrective object
which prepares criminals for life in society.
Some criminals have served long sentences, which
has caused a psychological impact on the individual’s ability to find work and housing.
Most
will need psychological counseling to learn how to function and be successful in society.
There are programs developed to assist and house individuals coming out of jail, to
prevent the continuous life of criminal activity, which is also a form of reintegration.
Many
offenders find themselves back involved in criminal activities due to not being able to adapt to
the lifestyle of society.
For this cause offenders will need as much support as possible to re-
integrate back into a successful society lifestyle.
