The three historical lense you could apply to gain a fuller picture of the relationship between
the natives and the white settlers would be the economic, political, and social/cultural lenses.
The economic lens should be used due to the acquisition of land to build to Trans-Alaskan
pipeline was the greatest economic endeavor in U.S. history. The political lens should be used
due to the ongoing conflict between the Natives and the American government. The social
lens should be utilized due to the fact that we are looking at a historical event involving
America's Aboriginal people.

relationship between Natives and white settlers. Your revised thesis statement should be
longer than one sentence.
During the 19th century, conflicts arose between the Natives and the white settlers. This can
be attributed to one cause alone, disputes over land. Native Americans were forced to give up
their lands to white settlers who were moving westward in search of new land and
opportunities. This led to a series of conflicts between the two groups as they fought over
land ownership and control.

Three historical lenses that you could use to look at the events described in the video
regarding the first Thanksgiving feast in 1621 would be the social lens, the religous lens, and
the economic lens.

Massasoit's decision to approach the Pilgrims revolved around events like the Patuxet, which
had been devastated by disease in addition to being threatened by the Narragansett people,
rival tribes.

between the Wampanoag and the Pilgrims.
One short-term consequence of the alliance between the Wampanoag and the Pilgrims would
be the binding contract between the two parties referred to as a "mutual defense alliance" to
combat their common enemies. One long-term consequence of the alliance between the
Wampanoag and the Pilgrims would be the strained relations between the parties. After so
many Englishmen joined the fray, the power shifted in favor of the English. This proved to be
disastrous for the Native's hundreds of natives were killed and hundreds more were taken
captive and sold into slavery.

How has your understanding of the historical event in your essay changed as a result of
your research? Describe one instance of a misconception or a wrong idea you had about
your topic that has been corrected after researching and writing about it.
My understanding of the historical event in my essay has changed as a result of my research
dramatically. I was able to go back and apply different lenses to my event to better understand
how the events tied together to give me the bigger picture. There really wasn't a time I was
confused or had any misconceptions. However, one instance of a misconception or a wrong
idea I had about My topic has since been corrected after researching and writing about it
would be that all Alaskan natives would be covered under the Land claims act but that is not
the case.

Four historical lenses through which you could analyze the events of the Cherokee Removal
would be the economic, political, military, and social lenses. The economic lens would
analyze the financial aspects of the Cherokee Removal. The political lens would analyze how
political decisions were made regarding the removal of the Cherokee people from their land.
The military lens would analyze how military force was used to remove the Cherokee people
from their land. Finally, The social lens would analyze how the removal of the Cherokee
