This may include assumptions, beliefs, or values related to the topic. Be as detailed as possible. I’ve known all about Michigan Wolverines Football since I was 7 years old. Even studying past history about the College Team dating back to 1897. I knew Michigan had a rich tradition because they have been the all-time winningest program since College Football has begun. With 11 National Titles and 42 Big Ten Championships to go along with it. I remember my first game attending Michigan Stadium. The atmosphere was incredible and with over 100,000 plus fans in attendance screaming and cheering was magnificent. Seeing some of my favorite players on the field was amazing and I was truly humble. Michigan Football has an historic background and Their fight song “Hail to the Victors” is in my opinion the greatest fight song in the nation. 1

It matters personally because the history of the winged helmet is iconic and an amazing design. Describe why this question matters to society. It’s important to society because it was voted the best helmet in College Football at one time. So clearly it shows it is an important part of Michigan History. Identify a second question about the topic you are curious about. Why doesn’t Michigan have a college mascot? Describe why this question matters to you personally. It matters to me because Michigan is one of few power 5 teams to not have a college mascot Describe why this question matters to society. It’s important to society because people see all other teams with mascots and it represents an uplifting and exciting part of the Team. 2
