In our interview with Khomeini, we observe an extremist with ideals who strives to distance the country from being like the "Western" nations. We have a primary source where he expresses regret for the revolution and what it has created today, and we have two articles that link modern-day terrorism to the Iranian Revolution. Describe one narrative that has significantly influenced the contemporary understanding of your historical event.  I am inclined towards selecting Khomeini's interview as my top pick. While the other options offer a historical perspective that helps us draw connections, nothing beats hearing the extremist views first-hand from the source. It is a truly eye-opening experience for me that enhances my understanding and perspective."

Please provide your revised research question and then explain how the chosen narrative helps you better understand your historical event.  What impacts did the Iranian Revolution have on the citizens of Iran?  Based on the article, my chosen narrative explains and answers most, but not all, of the research questions. The Revolution had a significant impact on Iranian citizens, affecting their livelihoods and the cultural aspects of their lives.
