While it is a good idea to choose your topic early, you may change it until the next module. Replace the bracketed text below with your responses. Support your responses with specific details and examples. Identify the topic you chose to explore: Climate Change: The Rise of the Automobile Explain what you already know about the chosen topic based on your personal history or experiences. I know a decent amount of cars, less about the history of them, but I did know about Ford’s early business endeavors. I have learned over the years about cars and emissions put off from them, which cars/engines are better/worse for the environment. I have learned about electric vehicles and how they will become the future, eliminating a large percentage of emissions given off by vehicles and the factories they are made in. Describe the beliefs, assumptions, and values you have related to the topic you chose. I believe Climate Change is a very important topic, and something that should be in a lot of businesses and individuals focus to improve on. I see the future of the automobile/vehicle world to be completely electric, which will work towards improvements amongst working on the climate change issue we have. I value climate change as a very important issue to work on, as for the past hundreds of years we have been practically destroying the earth’s natural environment, which will eventually lead to destroying the one we have created making it inhabitable. Explain why this topic is relevant to current events or to modern society. This topic is very relevant to modern society because transportation is a part of most people’s everyday life. As well as the issue of climate change being very relevant to modern society, as more people are learning and becoming educated on the issue and ways they can make small efforts to improve on it. 1
