High rise building is supported on a reinforced “raft” concrete foundation. Calculate the cost per cubic metre to supply & place concrete using a concrete pump at a price of $295 per hour including an operator and a crew consisting of 5 labourers ($31/hr/each), a cement finisher ($39/hr), and a foreman ($40/hr). With this set up concrete is placed in 7 hours and the transportation and set up of the pump costs $290. The work consists of supplying and placing 112 cubic metres ($180/CM) of concrete into the footings.
Calculate the unit rate for each of the labour, material and equipment per cubic metre, as well as a total cost per cubic metre.
