Identify a problem-solving technique or method you have used in a previous situation and explain how it helped you. How might problem-solving methods be different in diverse cultures or fields of work? How can effective problem solving help you in your academic journey?  I used brainstorming to address a work issue. By getting ideas from the team, we came up with creative solutions. Problem solving techniques can vary due to cultural and professional differences. Problem solving is a skill that benefits academic success by helping me find new solutions to my academic challenges. 2. Identify your learning style and explain how knowing/learning about your learning style helped support your success throughout this course.  I’m a verbal learner, which means I learn best through reading and writing. This course became easier when I realized it. I read about everything I could that would help me and summarized key ideas in my own words. Recognizing my learning style helped me study better and do well in the course. 3. Identify which of the five successful habits of an SNHU student have been most helpful for you throughout this course. Explain how those habits have helped you.  The most helpful habit for me in this course is time management. It keeps me organized, meets deadlines, and balances my work and personal life. Planning study time and setting priorities helped me complete assignments on time and reduce stress. 4. Explain how you will stay on track in your courses and overcome interruptions that may impact your schedule.  I’ll stay on track and handle interruptions on my courses by making a clear schedule, setting goals, reducing distractions, and seeking help when needed. Flexibility and good time management will help me adapt, and taking short breaks will keep me refreshed and productive throughout my academic journey. 5. Choose two SNHU resources (departments and resources that are part of SNHU) and two social supports (people, places, and things outside of SNHU) that will help the most with achieving your mission and goals, and that will help you prioritize your time. Also indicate why these resources and social supports are key for your success.  SNHU Learning Center.  The learning center is important because it provides academic support such as tutoring and writing assistance. This resource is key for my success because it ensures I have the tools and guidance needed to do well in my coursework.  Career Services Department.  This department is important for long term success. It offers guidance on career planning and job searches. By using their services, I can align my academic journey with my career aspirations.  Family and Friends.  The support of my family and friends is important to me as they provide emotional encouragement and understanding. Their support helps me maintain a work life balance

and stay motivated.  Study Group.  Being part of a study group with my friends is important. It provides a collaborative learning environment with accountability. This social support makes sure I prioritize my time and benefit from shared insights and knowledge. 6. List your personal academic mission statement.  My academic mission is to earn a computer science degree here at SNHU and develop the skills needed for a successful career in technology. I aim to learn, grow, and apply my knowledge to solve real world problems. 7. List your THREE short-term academic goals.  Maintain a good GPA.  Complete all assignments and projects.  Participate in one study group or collaborative learning session. 8. Describe the importance of setting goals on your academic journey.  Setting academic goals is important because they give me a clear direction and motivation. Guiding me through my education, helping me focus on what’s important and measure my progress. 9. Explain how you are going to stay motivated to achieve your goals and mission statement, based on what you have learned in SNHU 107.  I’ll use what I’ve learned during this course, like time management and breaking task into smaller steps, to stay motivated. Tracking my progress and staying connected with peers and professors can also keep me on track. 10. Explain why an awareness of diversity is beneficial to giving and receiving feedback when collaborating with others.  Being aware of diversity is helpful in feedback during collaboration because it promotes understanding and respect. It allows us to communicate in a way that respects different backgrounds and perspectives. 11. Explain why it is important to take ownership, be vulnerable, ask for help, and have an open mind to achieve your goals.  They help me learn and improve. Being responsible means I control my journey. Being open about my weakness lets me turn challenges into learning opportunities. Seeking help taps into valuable support. Staying open minded enhances my problem solving and helps me overcome obstacles on the path to my goals. 12. Explain what your biggest takeaway was from this course.  The value of effective time management. I’ve learned that by prioritizing tasks, setting clear goals, and managing my time wisely, I can achieve academic success while maintaining a healthy work life balance.
