A. Describe problems that are likely to occur when inserting, updating, and deleting data in these spreadsheets. (20 points) Note: Don’t use general terms “redundancy” or “loss of information” to describe the problems. Describe at least one specific problem for EACH case (insert, update, delete). For instance, you should write “if I update column X in list Y, the problem is….” 1. For the ( PROPERTY Table ), if we were to insert a new Owner ( OwnerName , OwnerEmail , OwnerType ) that has not enlist a property yet, then we would have empty cells with regards to the PropertyName, PropertyAddress . The same can be said for the ( SERVICE Table ), in which if were to just insert a new employee, then we might have empty cells on services and properties. For the ( PROPERTY Table ), if we were to update the Owner email of DT enterprises, then we would be required to update at least two rows, in which it’s possible to lose information because you’re typing an email id having multiple characters. There is a similar problem in the ( SERVICE Table ), if we were to update the PhoneNumber for John Evanston, we would need to update at least three rows. For the ( PROPERTY Table ), if DT Enterprises does not own any property now, then we would be deleting all information about them, such as OwnerName , OwnerEmail, etc . In the ( SERVICE Table ), if we were to delete the “Garden Weed Control” service from the list, then we would lose all information about Dale Murray. B. Split both PROPERTY table and SERVICE table into multiple tables such that each has only one theme.
