Five classification of Operating systems are:
Multi-User: Multi-user Operating system allow more than one user to run programs at the same time. Some multi-user Operating systems allow thousands of users to use programs concurrently.
Multiprocessing: Multiprocessing operating systems support the running of a single program on more than one Central Processing Unit (CPU).
Multitasking: Multitasking operating systems allow more than one program to be run
simultaneously.
Multithreading: Multithreading operating system allow multiple parts of the same program to run at the same time.
Real Time: Real-time operating systems can respond to input instantly.

Briefly explain the different methods that can be used to upgrade an operating system. Identify the necessity to upgrade the operating system.
Some of the common method of upgrading an operating system are:
Windows system update: Checking the windows system update is one of the best way for updating the OS. This is user friendly and only takes small steps for the completion of the upgrade.
Clean Install: One of the way to upgrade an OS is to clean the existing OS and installing the new OS simultaneously. It is more suitable after the backup is made
as the newly added OS is more fast than the upgraded OS.
Necessity to upgrade the operating system includes:
To keep up with the present OS which provides more features and functions
Latest security and security patch can be installed
Increase the efficiency of the current system

Load boot image of OS that is to be updated if not a clean install
