RUNNING HEAD TITLE 5-3 Milestone: Data Priorities Assignment Efrain Colon Southern New Hampshire University UI/UX Design and Development 23EW1
RUNNING HEAD TITLE (SHORTENED) 2 Evaluate the data requirements for borrowers. Kiva borrowers want to access information about kiva and about kiva borrowing from a flip phone (which is an embedded device) so they can stay informed, request loans, and track their loan payback process. The loan name, funded amount, loan amount, status, and expiry time/date are the most relevant data fields for their viewing or accessing. These data fields may be extracted from the loans.csv file. In the context of an embedded system such as a flip phone, it is conceivable to use a Graphical User Interface (GUI) as the interface type. This choice stems from the inherent constraints of embedded systems, which necessitate the implementation of a straightforward program that alone presents essential information. Given the limited size of the display, it is imperative to provide the essential information directly on the primary screen. Upon using the application, users will be presented with two distinct buttons, namely "Check Loan Status" and "Request a Loan." When the borrower selects the option to check the status of their loans, the system will display whether their application has been granted or not. Additionally, the system will provide the date on which the loan request was submitted, as well as the relevant information of both the borrower and the lender, if the loan has been authorized. Upon selecting the "request a loan" option, the borrower will be prompted to provide necessary personal information, including their regular details and the grounds for their loan request. Additionally, a list of potential lenders will be made available to the applicant.
RUNNING HEAD TITLE (SHORTENED) 3 Assess specific borrower stories to refine their data needs . When is started reviewing different borrowers’ stories on kiva lend filter page like Wejdan which she is a tailor that decided to put her knowledge into a tailor shop to create her own line of clothing. Novulis which is a rated Certified B Corp in Ecuador wants to bring dental health to areas that don’t have dental clinics or never seen a dentist. Beau wants to create better PPE equipment after she got severely burned while getting her PhD and now wants to create better PPE and affordable for people. Mario Antonio wants a loan to buy more supplies for his cell phone accessories stand which he believes will help improve his earnings. Jenny Beatriz needs a loan to buy Belcorp products like (perfumes, creams, make-up, and costume jewelry) for her business. Upon thorough examination of the narratives, it is my contention that my evaluation of the data prerequisites remains unaltered considering the borrowers' anecdotes. However, I would suggest the inclusion of each borrower's personal account within the application. This inclusion would afford the lender an opportunity to gain insight into the borrower's background, potentially enhancing the likelihood of loan approval. Recommend borrower data priorities for UI/UX development. The primary data priorities for borrowers include three key elements: the loan amount, the loan duration, and the lender's information in the event of loan approval. The significance of this data lies in its integral role within the lending process. Without this information, borrowers would lack crucial insights on their loans. Additionally, this data equips lenders with the necessary information to evaluate and potentially approve loan applications.
