Course Description Provides a culminating experience for students in the cybersecurity specialization; giving students an opportunity to use the knowledge and skills learned from their specialized courses to develop a comprehensive cyber defense program against advanced threats. Prerequisites: IT 238, IT 336, IT 351, IT 436, and IT 438. Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to provide the students with a capstone experience bringing together a multitude of cybersecurity concepts learned in prerequisite courses. The course will focus on defense mechanisms and enterprise risk assessment frameworks and strategies. It takes into account the entire cyber security life cycle to include not only incident response, but the forensics after the fact to ensure the vulnerabilities are addressed. Students will determine and implement the appropriate defense mechanisms to protect the information assets and networks.
