Date: November 19, 2023 To: Maria Carman From: Samantha Hartwell SH Subject: Recommendations for enhancing All Washed Up There are a few concerns that I have found regarding our operations such as improper handling of personal information like multiple customers credit cards on a desk, Cybersecurity issues, like not changing the passwords on public computers, or the disposal of customers old electronics. Some suggested solutions I have for the issues are: We should have guidelines in place to prevent staff from connecting electronics devices to our network. Credit card handling- we should complete one transaction at a time and then move the customer to the waiting area. Shared computers should have a stronger password system and should wipe after each person logs out. Cross-training should be implemented as well to cover the staff in case of an absence. Maria, addressing these issues is important for the continued success of All Washed Up. By implementing the suggested solutions, it will enhance customer trust, security, and improve operational efficiency. I am eager to work closely with you and the team. I look forward to discussing these matters further and collaborating on the changes. If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out. I believe together we can uphold the great expectations that All Washed Up is known for.

These Issues could jeopardize our customer trust, reputation, and long-term success: Improper Handling of Credit Cards: the current process of collecting and handling customer credit cards poses a risk that could lead to credit card theft. Connecting Personal Smartphones: Employees charging their personal device at the register could compromise customer data privacy. Cybersecurity Issues: shared computers lack of security and risk of exploitation to unauthorized access. Operational Efficiency Concerns: staff not being crossed trained to do other jobs. Suggested Solutions Regarding these issues I have provided some solutions that may be implemented as a comprehensive plan to the areas of concern to reduce the risks. Improper Handling of Credit Cards: Contactless payment methods: Start promoting the use of contactless payment options, like chip cards or mobile wallets, to help reduce the handling of credit cards. Employee training: Conduct regular training sessions for employees on security measures and proper handling when dealing with credit card transactions. Implement payment terminals: Change the current process of collecting customer credit cards with Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals at each cleaning station. Cybersecurity Measures :
