The server name is SAP Processes (SID: 502). You cannot log in into a different server since a
specific user number, client, and password is required for each server.

What are they?
There
are six main areas in the SAP screen: These ares are: Menu Bar, Standard Tool Bar,
Title Bar, Application Tool Bar, Command Field and Status Bar

System messages provide
what
for you?
The messages given by the system is that way SAP
gives information/feedback to the user.
SAP shows these messages in 4 different ways.

System messages are provided as feedback from SAP.
Describe these 4 messages.

Blank – no system message
Red – Error message
Red text indicates error location
Error must be fixed as SAP will not allow any other data entered
Double-click the message tor ecieve additional information about the error
Yellow -
Warning message
Read the message and determine if the data should be corrected
If it is ok to continue with the data, click the green check
Green – Action was successful
SAP accepted the data entered
Included in this message is additional information. Examples are PO numbers, sales
order numbers, and confirmation that the data entered was saved.

When you receive the error message, the other fields change to a different color.
What is the
color, and why does SAP do this?
The fields change to the color gray. This is the method SAP uses to force you to fix the error.

What is another name for the SAP Easy Access screen?
Another name for SAP Easy Access screen is the initial screen or the main menu

What is the purpose of the menu path?
The menu path is a “path” or steps followed by opening folders on the SAP Easy Access screen.
The path leads you to the lowest step, which is the transaction.

What is a transaction?
The transaction screen is where you can create, display or change the data

Describe each of the following:

Create :
Initial screation of data. You can only create an item once. If you want to make
changes after you save, you must use the change functionality.
b.
Change:
Allows users to make changes. Change can only be used after creating. Not all
fields are available to change.
c.
Display:
Allows the user to display the data.

What is the maximum amount of sessions that can be opened?
The maximum amount of sessions is 6.

What is another name for transaction code?
Another name for the transaction code is: transcode.
15.
Why would you use a transaction code instead of the menu path?
A transactional code is considered a short cut for menu paths. Instead of following the menu
paths, you could search the transcode.

The rectangle on the Standard toolbar is called the Command Field. Within this field is where
we insert the transcodes.
