Module Six Journal Farrik Barnard What elements of the user stories were the most helpful in developing your initial test cases? Clear and comprehensive descriptions of the intended functionality, including inputs, expected results, and any criteria or limitations, were the most beneficial components in creating test cases from user stories. That allowed the test to flow and kept everything in order, that made it easy to follow. What was missing from the user stories that would have been helpful? Details regarding probable edge cases or error scenarios that require testing were absent from the user stories. It would also be helpful to have more details about the user's workflow and any non- functional needs, like security or performance standards. These would be testing some user error cases and what would happen if wrong or bad data is inputted in the system. How might you go about getting this additional information? I would send an email to the product owner or other pertinent stakeholders in order to request this additional information.
Create a sample email that would effectively relate your needs and prompt a proper response. Be sure to identify the recipient of the communication and the specific information you expect to receive. Subject: Edge Cases for test Cases! Hi Product Owner, There are some edge cases that we think we need to test. Like incorrect data, or preferences not working and gets the wrong information on the screen. How would you like to handle those issues if they arise. Best regards, Farrik Barnard
