he role of Law Enforcement in cyberspace is achieving our nation's cybersecurity objectives by investigating a wide range of cyber-crimes, from theft and fraud to child exploitation, and apprehending, and prosecuting those responsible. The role of law enforcement in cyberspace is to ensure that laws and regulations are upheld in the digital realm just as they are in that physical world. Responding to cyber incidents involves threat responses, asset response, and intelligence support. New challenges and opportunities that are available in the public safety sphere is they face broadly shared challenges in key focus areas: policy and oversight; community partnerships and officer wellness and safety. On the other hand, advances in technology have created promising and exciting new approaches to policing. There is real opportunity for new efficiencies, so crimes are solved faster, and citizens stay safer. There is also interest in emerging technologies with more advanced features, like facial recognition and Al capabilities. Linese plate recognition, analytics- driven investigative software is a game changer for law enforcement agencies. All these solutions act as force multipliers for leads, with powerful analytics that help to close one or more points in the investigative triangle of person, vehicle and location. Law Enforcement is making the best use of current communication technology, and it has improved law enforcement in several ways police officers can now access critical information in seconds, view data about crimes and offenders while on the beat, and even use predictive analytics to anticipate where crimes will be committed. Law enforcement uses drones, gunshot technology, license plate scanning, and surveillance cameras to help manage data and keep communities safe. Law enforcement can take advantage of current and future communication trends to improve community outreach because it says "There is a call for practices and technologies to improve police community relations. Very high interest in this theme is being driven largely by the social and political tensions raised in recent years, in the wake of officer involved shootings controversies and civic unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, Baltimore, Maryland, and other jurisdictions.
