Ref: 3.3 Guided Practice- Program an IoT network using Packet Tracer Preliminary: Create the following network connection in Packet Tracer using the following equipment: 1) 1 WRT300N Wireless Router 2) 1 PC (Wired) 3) 1 Laptop (Wireless) 4) 1 Tablet (Wireless Configure your wireless router with the following settings: LAN: 192.168. X .1 (X being your age). SSID: Home Authentication: WPA-PSK Pass Phrase: Password 1 Each device should have a naming convention starting with your UserID (Example: JOESMU1234-PC) Task 1 – Adding a Home Gateway IoT Controller to your network
Using your existing project network, add a DLC100 Home Gateway (IoT Controller) to your network. Configure LAN to 192.168. X+1 .1 (X+1 being your age + 1). Add Security to the Home Gateway IoT Controller using WPA2-PK with a passphrase of password. Add the following Devices to your Home Gateway IoT Controller: 1) Smartphone 2) Fan 3) Light Use the Smartphone to pull the status for your IoT devices using the Home Gateway IoT Controller Web Page.
