Operations & Training Risk Management Plan Author: Narell Haigler Status: Draft Created: Mar 1 Updated: Mar 31 Objective The objective of this document is to identify and mitigate risk associated with the Plant Pals operations launch. Executive Summary Project Plant Pals seeks to provide customer with healthy office desk plants in a timely and budget friendly manner. Through on time delivery and great customer service, Plant Pals will establish sustainable fulfillment and delivery practices to ensure smooth day to day operations with trained staff in the next 6 months. RISK TYPE ONE: Going over the project budget Scenario Risk to project (L/M/H) Mitigation Plan Each delivery truck cost $16,000 more than initially quoted. Low Consider getting another quote from other vendors since the original quote was lower initially. Then Transfer the risk. A product vendor charges a higher rate than expected. Medium Get another quote and transfer the risk if another vendor meets the needs of Plant Pals or accept the risk and pay the price. A product vendor loses a product shipment High Minimize damaging effects by pulling from buffer funds and put measures in place to prevent another lost shipment.
RISK TYPE TWO: Falling behind the training schedule Scenario Risk to project (L/M/H) Mitigation Plan Your Training Manager gets sick and misses a week of training. Low Accept the risk and find someone that would be willing to help out while manager was absent. You cannot hire enough employees in time to train them before launch. Medium Accept the risk and let the hiring process be continuous. More than 50% of employees quit after a difficult training process leaving the company short-staffed. High Avoid the risk by making the managing process less difficult. Appendix: Probability chart: Probability Qualitative Quantitative (if measurable) Low Very low chance of risk occurring. Less than <10% chance of risk occurring. Medium Medium chance of risk occurring. 10%-49% chance of risk occurring.
