How do you feel at this point in the course about your current capacity to understand and use legal analysis and legal advice in making decisions in your business setting or personal setting? In what ways would you like to improve before the end of this course?
The part I found was most difficult was explaining the business risks for both breaching and not breaching the contract. Personally, I am not too familiar with business and contract law (although I took Contract Law last semester and am currently taking Business Law in conjunction with this one) and I tend to struggle with scenario based questions regarding business and contract law. I wish I could’ve expanded more on my ideas of the risks versus just a blanket statement of lawsuit, reputation damage, etc. with additional knowledge. I did feel that the assignment was pretty straight forward after Judge Pittman broke it down for us in the Office
Hour. I still don’t feel too confident in my ability to use legal analysis and advice in making decisions and I would like to improve on articulating my ideas better.
