What factor determines whether or not a substance containing alcohol is deemed to be liquor? Fermentation and Distillation Give two examples of substances that contain alcohol but that are not considered to be liquor. Aftershave and mouth wash contain alcohol but at my considered to be liquor as they are sold for other purposes and not to be consumed. Alcohol must be in a specific concentration to be governed by the LLA. What is that percentage? More than 0.5% alcohol What are the three essential elements that are considered in an investigation of "possession"? The residence, licensed premise, or a private place. If a person has a bottle of liquor in his or her pocket, would he or she be deemed to have control of it? Yes as long as the bottle has a cap on it or has not been opened. If a person hides a case of beer in nearby bushes, does he or she still have control, and therefore possession, of the liquor? Yes because he or she purchased the beer, hidden or not as long as it is not being consumed in a public place and person who purchased the beer is of age they still have control of the liquor.
