The Role of Quizlet Learning Tool in Learners' Lexical Retention: A Quasi-Experimental
Study is a scholarly journal based on the impact of Quizlet. This journal has empirical research
on the effectiveness of Quizlet in enhancing regular education students and L2 learners’ lexical
retention vocabulary acquisition. The study in the journal is significant towards allowing teacher
and students to maximize their time and other resources that should be spent on Quizlet for
reviewing the class’s vocabulary. The study also gives insight into the effect Quizlet has towards
vocabulary learning and it expands research in the second language acquisition.

The journal is a peer reviewed scholarly journal from ProQuest Central. The accuracy of
this content was written by Quoc Long Nguyen and Le Van Ha and published by the
International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning in 2023. This journal gives excellent
evidence to my persuasive speech, as I am trying to convince my audience that Quizlet is an
effective app for active studying that advances one’s learning. The journal provides evidence that
Quizlet significantly improves vocabulary acquisition for both regular education students and L2
learners’ lexical retention. Based on the study’s findings, the journal recommends teachers and
institutional leaders to endorse Quizlet as a learning tool in classrooms. Altogether, this source
gives me a strong standpoint on how Quizlet is an effective study method that improves
vocabulary acquisition.

regarding the relationship between study methods and performance in exams. The journal has
data collected from over three years through surveys that examine students’ study habits,
perceived effectiveness regarding techniques, and correlation between the time allocation and
exam grades. Overall, the journal claims that many students want to achieve better grades, and
this means students want to study as efficiently as possible by utilizing the most optimal study
methods.

publisher the Journal of College Science Teaching in 2023. The journal also provides credibility
as a peer reviewed scholarly journal from ProQuest Central. This journal is going to be an
essential position in my persuasive speech to prove what happens when effective study strategies
are not in your life. The journal’s research results indicated that high-achieving students possess
more effective active-learning strategies including group discussions and problem-solving. While
low-performing students rely on passive techniques involving rereading content without
comprehension. Thus, the content from this journal will provide the evidence I need in my
speech to get the audience to understand what happens to one’s life in the absence of effective
studying techniques like Quizlet.

Using Quizlet for Academic Vocabulary Acquisition is a scholarly journal about
implementing Quizlet to build students vocabulary acquisition in varied subjects. The journal
emphasizes the many tools Quizlet has for studying classroom material such as electronic
flashcards and teachers can add student to their class to focus on specific vocabulary learning.
Students can create their own or add information to existing cards including definitions, audio
recordings of words, images, example sentences, and links to short videos. Quizlet also gives
