Educators can display these photos to help students and families feel a part of their classroom festivities. Students and families can be encouraged to share about their culture. Dramatic play area Preschool Preschoolers use creative and higher vocabulary as they learn proper social behaviors. (Han, n.d.). Students can pretend to be working adults (pretend chefs) and use uncommon language during play. (like marinate) Reinforcing vocabulary words through various chants and songs Preschool Chants and songs are an engaging and effective way to introduce preschoolers to rich language and language skills. Educators can create a chant or song in students’ native languages to enhance further comprehension during lessons. Gestures can also be used to enhance understanding.
