This paper aims to explore these studies and analyze the implications for organizations. Effects of Workplace Stress on Employee Performance One study by Ilies et al. (2018) found that high levels of workplace stress were associated with decreased job satisfaction and lower levels of organizational commitment among employees. The researchers also discovered that employees experiencing high levels of stress were more likely to engage in counterproductive work behaviors, such as absenteeism and presenteeism. By teaching individuals how to manage their stress effectively and develop healthy coping mechanisms, organizations can empower their workforce to navigate challenging situations more successfully.
