Assessment Description
What are the most significant differences between servant leadership models and other leadership models? Compare and contrast similarities and differences through brief examples.
According to Greenleaf, servant leadership are most concerned with serving people first. Greenleaf Center (2021). There are seven behaviors of a servant leader which includes: Emotional healing, ethical behavior, empowering, conceptual skills, creating value for the community, and helping subordinates develop and grow. Northhouse (2021). Servant Leadership
is a style that leaders follow in which they do all they can to help others develop and grow before
they help themselves. Within various organizations servant leaders empower and support their team members attain maximum efficiency. A primary distinction of servant leadership is that servant leaders prioritize the well-being of others ahead of their own interest. A great example would be biblical models. They are called to serve others. They emphasize on savant leadership, humility integrity, and accountability. On the other hand, traditional leadership style leaders hold positions of authority where decisions are made and followed by subordinates. Characteristic of this leadership style is defined hierarchy, top-down decisions making, and
focused is placed on discipline. Although servant leadership and traditional leadership both lead an organization who manage duties and share responsibility of the organization, the approach is totally different. References

How does a leader differ from a manager? Describe the situational approach to leadership and three major theories within this category. How would the path–goal theory help you identify the most appropriate leadership style in a situation?
arrow_forward
The path-goal theory of leadership emphasizes the importance of leaders clarifying the path to goal attainment for their followers and providing the necessary support and guidance to help them achieve those goals. According to this theory, effective leaders engage in behaviors that remove obstacles, provide incentives, and offer support to facilitate the success of their followers. These behaviors may include offering coaching and feedback, setting clear expectations, and adjusting their leadership style to fit the needs of individual followers and the demands of the situation. By actively supporting their followers in overcoming challenges and reaching their objectives, leaders can enhance motivation, satisfaction, and ultimately, performance within the organization.
Question: How can leaders effectively tailor their leadership behaviors to the specific needs and preferences of their followers, while also maintaining consistency and clarity in their approach?

Qustion#1:_
Vince Lombardi – a legendary American football coach once suggested that “Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work”. However, others believe that birds can’t swim and fish can’t fly no matter how hard you try to make them learn swimming and flying respectively. This indeed provides the foundations for the development of the concept of trait theory.
