Applying Leadership Theories
The leadership role is the vital heartbeat of any organization's success, however, having the wrong leader in charge could result in profit loss, high employee turnover, as well possible business closure. Executives are often confounded by culture, because much of it is anchored in
unspoken behaviors, mindsets, and social patterns. Many leaders either let it go unmanaged or relegate it to HR, where it becomes a secondary concern for the business. This is a mistake, because properly managed, culture can help them achieve change and build organizations that will thrive in even the most trying times (Groysberg, 2018).Leadership has many elements and layers to it, so one's definition and perceptions are quite different, along with what qualifies as leadership or being a leader. In the business world, leadership is defined as it being the capacity
of a company's management to set and achieve challenging goals, take fast and decisive action when needed, outperform the competition, and inspire others to perform at the highest level they can. Leaders are invaluable when it comes to formulating and communicating new strategic directions, as well as communicating with and motivating employees to increase dedication to organizational goals. Ongoing leadership skill straining is essential to making sure that leaders are on the right track.
Starbucks needed a change The Starbucks organization is currently in need of change to improve its sustainable success. As a manager, it is important to assess and recommend the appropriate leadership style or approach to support the proposed change. In this report, we will examine three leadership styles: Situational Leadership, Servant Leadership, and Transformational Leadership, in the context of the organizational culture and proposed change. Starbucks needs to make a change to address the decline in customer satisfaction, which has resulted in decreased sales and revenue. To address this, the organization plans to implement a new customer experience program, which will focus on improving the customer experience through better service and product quality.
Examination of Leadership Styles:
Situational Leadership:
This leadership style involves adapting leadership behavior to match the development level of the employees. In the context of Starbucks, this approach may be useful in managing the change by assigning leadership roles to employees based on their abilities and development

Netflix announced Thursday that its founder Reed Hastings is stepping down as co-CEO at the company and will serve as executive chairman. Hastings will be replaced by co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters.
“Our board has been discussing succession planning for many years (even founders need to evolve!),” Hastings wrote in a blog post on Thursday. “As part of that process, we promoted Ted to co-CEO alongside me in July 2020, and Greg to Chief Operating Officer — and in the last 2½ years I’ve increasingly delegated the management of Netflix to them.”
Hastings founded Netflix (NFLX) in 1997 and changed the way countless households watched movies and shows, first with its DVD-by-mail business and later with its streaming video service.
Under Hastings’ leadership, Netflix disrupted legacy movie rental…
