MKTG2033 – JOB INTERVIEW ASSIGNMENT – SAMPLE QUESTIONS This Case Study assignment is worth – 10% of your overall grade Your Full Name: Pamela Guppy Your Student Number: 200184020 PART 1 – QUESTIONS PROVIDED Q - Give me an example of an important goal you accomplished and how you reached it. (A tangible goal). Identify/explain the SITUATION/TASK The manager of the company I used to work for gave us statistics on how customers interacted with them. At the middle of the list, I performed poorly. I made it my mission to become more focused and to communicate better after that day. I had to focus on my communication skills and become an expert communicator because I understood it was a necessary talent for my job. Then what ACTION did you take Much of my time was spent observing others converse with guests so I could learn from them. I also tried to look for online resources on effective communication techniques. I also began working on my own practice. After seeing that none of this was producing the desired outcomes, I signed up for a communication course. Summarize the RESULT My endeavours to acquire this ability encourage establishing a benchmark for communication among fellow staff members. it is crucial for us to communicate with people.
MKTG2033 – JOB INTERVIEW ASSIGNMENT – SAMPLE QUESTIONS Q - Tell me about a time when you had to go above and beyond the call of duty to get a job done (AKA: when it wasn’t your job or responsibility). Identify/explain the SITUATION/TASK I recall that our manager at the time assigned us a team assignment. We assign team members to complete the entire task. Regretfully, a few of my team members are new to this organization, thus they are unfamiliar with the project and couldn't finish it in time. In this case, one of my partners conducted research and finished the assignment in a single day so that we could submit it on time. Then what ACTION did you take When we split up the work for this project, I completed my portion of it. After I finish the primary features that this project needs, I showed it to my department manager, who assists me in identifying the missing information so that my project is appropriate. Summarize the RESULT I put my all into my work via this obligation, which lets me assess if I completed it on time and correctly.
MKTG2033 – JOB INTERVIEW ASSIGNMENT – SAMPLE QUESTIONS Q - Describe a situation in which you were able to use persuasion to successfully convince someone to proceed with your vision, path or plan. Identify/explain the SITUATION/TASK The following day, an unforeseen audit happened when I was managing a Blacks photography store. its place has never experienced anything like it before. The business received a low grade from the inspection for a Black's Photography store. The written warning from the auditor states that several factors need to be considered, including the way in which management and employees’ function. Certain limits were required, and everyone was expected to abide by the regulations. Conversely, workers expressed reluctance to remain and asked to be transferred. Then what ACTION did you take The workforce was deaf to my attempts to persuade them; I offered them more bonuses and assured them that tips, whether in cash or on a card, would be divided among the employees based on the number of hours they worked. That's when they started to think differently of me. They pledged to carry out the project, abide by all rules and laws, and work extra hard to make up for past errors. Summarize the RESULT They put in a lot of overtime to do the task perfectly. In addition, we were preparing for the audit. Ten days later, the audit team showed up and finished the inspection; they complimented us for a job well done. The staff later told me they were prepared to work but wanted to see how far I could convince them.

Product Case Study
Sam and Micaela first met while studying marketing at San Juan College. Both were ambitious and had plans to run their own businesses. Over time they decided to start a business together. Initially they spent many months discussing what sort of business they should go into. They considered various service businesses, like consulting or an internet- based training offering. However, it was eventually an opportunity in the children’s toy market that appeared to have good potential.
They had observed that parents were becoming increasingly time-poor and, as a result, had
less time to spend with their children. And in order to compensate for this, the parents typically spent large amounts on their children to entertain them. Obvious examples were the success of PlayStations, iPads, PC’s, and mobile phones.
