RMIT Classification: Trusted STUDENT Instructions to Students: 1. All answers are to be written in blue or black pen only , excluding diagrams, or the answers will not be marked (Written tests only). 2. The ONLY materials, equipment or personal items which may be brought into the test room are Scientific Calculators, blue or black pens, pencil, eraser and correction fluid (unless otherwise permitted by invigilator) 3. There is to be NO communication of any kind with any other person either inside or outside the test’s venue, except with the test supervisor/invigilator or course teachers. 4. Test papers and other material provided by the University are NOT to be removed from the test room. 5. Plagiarism occurs when the origin of the material used is not appropriately cited. 8. RMIT special consideration is to enable you to maintain your academic progress despite adverse circumstances. The process for special consideration can be found at http://www1.rmit.edu.au/students/specialconsideration 9. Students with a disability or long-term medical or mental health condition can apply for adjustments to their study and assessment conditions (Reasonable Adjustments and Equitable Assessment Arrangements) by registering with the Equitable Learning Services (ELS) at https://www.rmit.edu.au/students/support-and-facilities/student-support/equitable-learning-services If you already registered with ELS and your study plan is approved, please inform your teacher if this assessment task is not adjusted in line with approved study plan. Additional Instructions to Students: 1. Performance requirement: (a) Must attempt all the questions (b) Satisfactory (S) performance – successfully complete all questions . Each question has a specific performance criterion. There are 10 questions in total. (c) Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS) performance – unable to successfully complete all questions . 2. You are eligible to reattempt the assessment one more time within allowed time frame, if your first attempt result is NYS. 3. Outcome of this assessment will count towards the final grade only if the result is satisfactory (S) Final grading criteria is made available to you in Course Guide Part B and in CANVAS. RMIT Classification: Trusted STUDENT Answer: 1.49 x 10 11 = 1.5 x 10 11 meters Q4: Estimate the approximate lateral area of the aircraft nose cone (into nearest ten place) shown in below diagram and find the difference between the estimated area and the actual area. Hint: Lateral area= 1 2 × perimeter of base × slant height . Satisfactory response Yes No Answer: = ½ x 150 x 122 = 1/2 x 18300 The actual area = 9150 in 2 Estimate the approximate lateral area of the aircraft nose cone (into nearest ten place) = 9000in 2 Difference between the estimated area and the actual area = 9150 – 9000 = 150in 2 [ C6130 MEM30012A Assess 2 Final Test (Student) ] [2 of 3] [30/06/2022 Student knowledge assessment task © Content is subject to copyright, RMIT University FINAL APPROVED – STUDENT KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT TASK TEMPLATE – June 2019_Version 2.0 Page 4 of 12
RMIT Classification: Trusted STUDENT Algebraic Expressions Q5: The final length L 2 of a piece of wire heated through θ ˚ Celsius is given by the formula L 2 = L 1 ( 1 + αθ ) . Make the coefficient of expansion “α” the subject.
