There are 8 different Variables in this dataset which are: Animal ID, Habitat Type, Water temperature in Celsius, Head length in centimeters, Total Lenth in centimeters, Weight in kilograms, Sex, and Number of deformities. Question 2. List all numerical (quantitative) variables and classify them into continuous or discrete. Refer to your textbook 1.1 & 1.2. (5 pts.) Data may come from a population or from a sample. Lowercase letters like x  or y  generally are used to represent data values. Most data can be put into the following categories: Qualitative Quantitative Qualitative data  are the result of categorizing or describing attributes of a population. Qualitative data are also often called  categorical data . Hair color, blood type, ethnic group, the car a person drives, and the street a person lives on are examples of qualitative data. Qualitative data are generally described by words or letters.
Question 3. Find the median weight of the female alligators. Show your work. Refer to the textbook 2.3. (10 pts.) To find the median of the female alligators you would first need to record the weights of the alligators from lowest to highest, which would be: 8,9,19,27,28 Question 4. Calculate the mean weight of the female alligators.. Show your work. Refer to the textbook 2.5. (10 pts.) Question 5. Find the standard deviation of weight of the female alligators.. Show your work. Refer to the textbook 2.7. (10 pts.) Question 6. Using the descriptive statistics Excel worksheet provided, calculate the descriptive statistics for one of the following variables: head length, total length, or weight. (10 pts.)
