2 Introduction Nowadays, most of the individuals do not seek health care because of different reasons, such as limited beliefs, low confidence in the health care provider, past bad experiences, and many others, as Jane Ogden described in the book The Psychology of Health and Illness (Ogden, 2019). Some other individuals wait until they can identify the symptom as abnormal or they perceive the need for professional intervention to start looking for help. Another part of the population chooses complementary and alternative medicine care as a treatment or preventive care . Chiropractic has become one of the most commonly used complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies in the United States and Europe (Beliveau, et al., 2017). Chiropractic is from the greek -Done by hand- and its purpose is to support the body's natural ability to heal itself. (MedlinePlus, 2014). A person that is not well informed and guided might think that chiropractic care will help only with back pain or headaches, but has been prove that chiropractic helps to improve the well-being of a person by restoring normal function of the nervous system throughout a spinal adjustment. One of the reasons that Chiropractic care is widely recognized is because it is a noninvasive procedure that aims to restore the organism s function from the inside-out and use the innate potential of the body to heal without the utilization of any drug. Although chiropractic has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. The risks associated with chiropractic, however, are very small. (American Chiropractic Association, n.d.). It is important to understand that the purpose of spinal adjustments is to correct the misaligned vertebrae to release the pressure on the nervous system and restore the communication between brain and body; thus healing can occur properly. Some patients may react to the adjustment and feel some discomfort, but research shows that minor discomfort or soreness following spinal manipulation typically fades within 24 hours.
