“Holistic Medicine” AND “herbs SU Subject terms (drop down box) Uncheck full text Subject (filter further) Publication date range 1. Conduct the same key word search you conducted for library tutorial #1. Then use the SU Subject terms drop-down option to narrow your search even more. Please take notes on how you altered your search. (You will use them later in class.) 2. After you've searched, acquire one article from your new search. Write a short summary of the article. Remember to cite your source using APA guidelines. In week one, tutorial #1, I learned how to narrow down a search in the UMGC library using OneSearch. In this weeks lessions I learned how to narrow the library search down even more. This is a very helpful tip to know when using the UMGC library. Before learning how to narrow my searches down, it was very intimidating using the OneSearch data base. For this week, I used the same key word “holistic medicine” AND “herbs” under the advance search. The difference from last week is I used the SU subject terms in the drop-down box. I didn’t need to use the subject filter because this already narrowed my search down enough. Last week I had 105 results available. This week, by selecting the SU subject terms, it narrowed it down to 2 results. Out of the 2 results I selected the e book Culpeper’s medicine: A Practice of Western Holistic Medicine by Graeme Tobyn.
