Hospice care is a form of healthcare that prioritizes the provision of comfort and assistance to patients in the advanced stages of their life. As stated in Shi & Singh (2022), frequently employed in conjunction with hospice care, a form of end-of-life care designed to offer solace and assistance to persons in the final stages of their lives. Hospice care is typically administered to individuals diagnosed with a terminal illness who have made the decision to discontinue curative interventions. The primary objective of hospice care is to provide optimal comfort and support to patients during the last stages of their lives, including days, weeks, or even months. Hospice groups offer a variety of services to patients and their families. The range of services provided encompasses medical care, pain management, nursing care, pharmaceutical management, personal care help, counseling, chaplain support, and funeral planning aid (Kessler, 2021). In addition to medical care, hospice groups offer patients and their families emotional and spiritual assistance. The kind of assistance provided may encompass counseling services, support for individuals experiencing grief, and management of critical situations. In the context of professional engagement with hospice patients and their families, it is pertinent to explore many dimensions of the Christian worldview. The Christian worldview places significant emphasis on the value of demonstrating compassion and empathy towards others. The significance of this matter is particularly pronounced when engaging with hospice patients and their families, since they may undergo a diverse array of emotional responses in relation to the culmination of life. Furthermore, the Christian perspective places significant emphasis on the value of treating individuals with dignity and respect. The aforementioned factor holds significant relevance in the context of working with hospice patients and their families, who may encounter challenging choices pertaining to end-of-life healthcare. It is imperative to acknowledge that the Christian worldview can offer valuable insights for effectively engaging with hospice patients and their families. However, it is also crucial to demonstrate reverence for the unique beliefs and values held by each individual patient and their family. As a practitioner in the field of hospice care, it is imperative to deliver empathetic and individualized care that caters to the distinct requirements of the patient and their respective family.
