(
Howard, J.2002)
The five differences between rural and urban areas are based on population size, development, division of labor, social mobility and type of environment. Urban areas are more developed than rural areas and operate in developed man-made environments, which exposes them to different types of pollution. As Page 1

people live closer together, often in unsanitary conditions, the chances of transmitting infectious diseases are much higher. In addition to the high incidence of infectious diseases, rapid urbanization is deteriorating living and working conditions and increasing chronic diseases. Rural residents are almost twice as likely to die from accidental injuries, such as road accidents,
than urban residents. The incidence of chronic diseases, diabetes and respiratory disease is similar to that of urban dwellers.
Many CDC studies have focused on large health disparities among rural and urban Americans. Rural Americans are more likely than urban Americans to die from heart disease, cancer, accidental injuries, chronic lower respiratory tract disease, and stroke.
With little anonymity in rural areas, social stigma and privacy concerns tend to be barriers to access to healthcare. Life in the city is fast and complicated, but life in the countryside is easy and relaxed. Urban settlements include towns and municipalities. Rural settlements, on the other hand, include villages and settlements. Isolation from nature is greater in urban areas due to the
presence of a built environment.
Rural hospitals provide significant benefits to their communities, but they are not immune to many challenges in healthcare delivery, including: B. Labor shortages, aging infrastructure, and cybersecurity threats.
Summary of your source for Part II (include one to two paragraphs, totaling at least 300 words). Enter your summary in the space below.
Rural residents are almost twice as likely to die from accidental injuries, including
car crashes, than urban residents. The incidence of chronic diseases, diabetes and respiratory disease is similar to that of urban dwellers. Clinics and hospitals may be far away. High prevalence of certain substances, such as smoking and abuse of opioids and methamphetamines. Increased incidence of chronic health problems such as high blood pressure and obesity. Increased exposure to environmental hazards such as chemicals used in agriculture. Compared to urban areas, rural areas have less internet access, fewer educational institutions, more hospitals closing, and lower economic growth. Rural areas are the least populated areas. Suburban areas are more populated than rural areas. However, urban areas are more populated than both. These three living
areas are very different from each other and are a great way to describe an unfamiliar geographical town or city.
While in urban areas, economic resources and educational attainment are its important factors, Population Size: Rural population lives in individual small groups and in villages. The population of urban areas is up to millions of people. This means that the population size in the city is larger than in the village. Rural societies have a homogeneous population that is socially, racially, and psychologically related to agriculture. Urban society is more heterogeneous with people of different classes, races and religions coexisting despite their economic and cultural differences. Urban livelihoods rely on secondary and tertiary activities such as manufacturing and services. Rural livelihood involves living with nature and being supported by nature. asthma, cancer and diabetes are aggravated by unhealthy living and
working conditions, insufficient green space, pollution such as noise, water and soil pollution, urban heat islands and lack of air. Time to walk, bike and stay active.
