Copyright violation indicates that the rights granted to the owner including the exclusive utilization of the work and content for a certain period are infringed by a third party. From the scenario and definition above, there are several copyright issues. First, Huong's program contains content and material from the school therefore, not her original work. To claim copyright rights, the person needs to own the original content and acknowledge any referenced material and people in the work. Huong's case has a lot of legal copyright issues that will lead to a court case if the university finds out. In this case, Huong fails to acknowledge that the work is from the school, and she further charges, which is unethical. Secondly, while she may claim the notes and the program, the lecture notes are not her original piece. The act is a form of moral rights infringement on the university as she fails to acknowledge the authority of her materials. It is morally wrong for Huong to take the works of her lecturers and publish them as her own. Lastly, Huong violates economic rights. Even though the work is not originally hers and does not have a license, Huong decides to sell the works at a fee not shared with the copyright holders, who in this case, include her school and lecturer. Case Study 9.3 First, if the vendor had permission to sell the software, then Theo has the option to purchase the software through a third party for 50% off without violating his rights. This is similar to other students purchasing or renting software or books from Chegg, Abe, or even Organ Transplant 3

As a result, sharing software is usually forbidden since the license is usually not the owner and is the only one who is permitted to use it. Case Study 9.5 Legally, the Dawson Publishing company holds the right to publish and sell materials from their content. Although Dr. Mondello edited the original work, she signed a property transfer agreement giving the company all the legal rights to the copyright. Despite selling her content the publishing company paid Dr. Mondello for her work. He cannot claim the content afterward and has no claim over what happens to the content after the agreement. Dr. Cook has all the legal rights to assign whoever he wants to edit the second edition since she has a signed legal partnership with the publishing company. Although her work was used in the second edition and not referenced to her Dr. Mondello has no legal authority to claim the copyright or the content because of the binding document and the payment she received for her exemplary work. Legally, Dr. Cook and the publishing company have the right to claim the copyright and do to the content whatever modification and editing they so wish. However, the situation is not ethically and morally abiding. Although Dr. Mondello had signed her copyright rights away, Dr. Cook was wrong to feel jealous of the exceptional work and find another person to write the chapters in the second edition. The sole purpose of the authorization is to ensure top-notch work and high sales of their work, which Dr. Mondello passed so well. Therefore, I would advise Dr. Mondello to forgo the legal lawsuit and address the ethical principles of Dr. Cook’s actions in their professional field.

Click here to enter text. Organ Transplant 4 Case study 9.6 As Dr. Hefner subscribes to a scientific journal and provides access to her research group, I believe she is protected by a site license. As outlined in the text, the license is common among educational and business institutions that authorize multiple uses 1. When this type of license is issued, the institution holds the license, and the users may only access the site under the license held by the institution. According to the copyright, Dr. Hefner, she cannot share her login credentials with her research group without violating the copyright. Case Study 9.8 Although Dr. Gopal drafted and published the course syllabus, he has no legal rights to copy and delete the content from the university website after getting dismissed from work. Looking at it, he used the university resources, and the content created was during his employment time at the university hence should have left the work at the university. However, looking at it the other way, there was no legally binding documentation asking Dr. Gopal to transfer the copyright rights of all his works to the university in case copyright issues arose. Therefore, the school cannot legally ask or sue Dr. Gopal for copyright, although he used all the university resources to create the content. Dr. Gopal has not economized the content for the university to claim the right of resources over the data. Because the situation has a weak legal standing with both parties using circumstances to present their cases, looking at the situation from an ethical perspective would help matters. Ethically, Dr. Gopal was wrong to remove the course syllabus from the school's database and deny the replacing professor and students the benefits of the contents. Although he was not

Organ Transplant 5 required to by any signed legal document, Dr. Gopal must play as a professor to his students to render help no matter the institution in which he is employed. Therefore, by denying the students the syllabus benefits, Dr. Gopal was ethically wrong and selfish. Additionally, Dr. Gopal's actions were driven by anger and bitterness because the university decided to cut him loose to fix their budget. Making decisions in anger and bitterness crowded Dr. Gopal's judgment, making him disregard his duties to serve the students and focus the attention on his interests, hence removing the course content from the school's server. To remedy the situation, Dr. Gopal could have copied the contents of the syllabus and left a copy on the school's server, showing interest in the student's well-being and intellectual needs. Wrongful Convictions As I read the Charles Bernstein case, I believe it holds some weight in favor of abolishing the death penalty. The article, cited” Should we Restore the Death Penalty?” Regardless of if someone has concrete evidence to convict them of a crime, I do not believe the justice system should be able to decide who dies and who simply lives because they do not always get the facts straight to ensure they are not putting an innocent person behind bars for a length of time. As children of God, I can understand being falsely accused since Matthew 5:11-12 says, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. In the same way, they persecute the prophets who came before you, you will receive a great reward in heaven. Because of the possibility of being falsely accused, the death penalty needs to be abolished.

Cryopreservation is a favorite of the future community. The general premise is simple: medicines keep getting better. If you die today, you may be healed tomorrow (Whaley et al., 2021). While freezing people as they await future medical discoveries is appealing, I would not support the science. Biblically, only God is allowed to give and take lives. However, science targets to freeze a person from living for a considerable amount of time until science can cure them; that action interferes with natural occurrences. Cryonics is a way to bridge the gap between today's medicines and tomorrow's medicines. The most important is that there is no evidence or guarantee that it is reversible. Moreover, science is not guaranteed that the person will get a cure at discovering medicine. Additionally, the freezing does not stop the person from dying someday, putting the loved ones in continuous agony and sadness. Scientists say it's a pure science fiction novel that wakes up hundreds or thousands of years later to lead a healthy and happy life. For example, for diseases like cancer and HIV/AIDS, which have no sure medication, it would be unfair to put family members in agony for years while they await medication. Therefore, it is better to let a soul rest and not postpone the grief which is bound to happen someday. Question 2

The bible and the other religious doctrines believe that everyone was Organ Transplant 7 created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, I would not consider a face transplant from a religious perspective. Patients and physicians are required to tackle various (sometimes permanent) challenges, including Addressing immunosuppression and psychosocial hurdles (Tasigiorgos et al., 2018). Without any other underlying conditions like accidents considering a face, a transplant is more like being unappreciative of God's work. Some unforeseen circumstances can push one to opt for a face transplant. For example, if one gets burned and there is a scientific way to restructure and ensure the person gets and leads an everyday life, then a face transplant is better.
