Introduction The disease that is affecting the residents of Gotham City is coronavirus. Coronavirus disease (COVID- 19) is communicable disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people infected with the virus will encounter mild to moderate respiratory illness and recuperate without special treatment. Despite that, some will become critically ill and require medical care. Older adults and those with underlying medical conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop acute illness. Anyone can get sick with coronavirus and become seriously ill or die at any age.

How does the Disease spread? Coronavirus is spread when an infected person exhales droplets and microscopic particles that carry the virus. Other people can inhale these droplets and particles or land on their eyes, nose, or mouth. In some circumstances, these droplets may contaminate surfaces they touch. Anyone infected with COVID-19 can spread it, even if they do NOT have symptoms.
