WEEK -2 - BUSN410: Good morning class, I enjoyed reading both articles, I think they were very interesting to read as I personally have an interest in the subject. I first read “UFOs I Have Loved and Lost” by E. U. Condon and in this reading, he mentioned different stories of UFO apparitions that involved cults and scammers. Condor was leaning towards leaving the UFO studies and believes that UFOs are not real and that they are made believe. Condor also talks about another hoax such as spiritualism and how none of these believes have led to anything real. On the other hand, after reading “UFO’s: It’s Time For a Scientific Approach” by J. Allen Hynek, I think he was also skeptical about the truthfulness of UFOs since nothing has been truly proven but I think he kept his mind open to continue to study, I think he believes that these beings in the UFOs have a much superior intelligence than we do and their technology is also much superior with unbelievable capabilities such as camouflage an entire spaceship so our radars won’t detect them. Hynek’s approach is to continue the study of the phenomena and get real answers and Condon’s belief is to cease these expensive research projects and to stop lying to the public about these UFO apparitions. I think Condon has a point in the way that a lot of people go overboard with their UFO believes that literally go insane and do unspeakable things. I am definitely team Hynek, I believe we should keep studying this phenomena and hopefully be able to communicate with these beings and learn from their technology. Thanks,
