Reflection
Teaching is more than just imparting knowledge; it involves a dynamic process of building relationships, fostering engagement, and promoting self-reflection. I believe education is not a one-size-fits-all model, but rather a transformative journey that equips learners with the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners. My teaching philosophy
is rooted in adult learning frameworks, which consider adult learners' unique needs, experiences, and motivations. Additionally, I emphasize personal growth through continuous improvement and self-awareness. I believe that the best way to learn is by combining theory with practical application. According to Hamlin (2020), adult learning can be improved with access to resources, diverse experiences, and support services such as tutoring. However, there is no one-
size-fits-all solution for every student. To ensure success, educators should use effective teaching
methods.
In the field of MBA education, most students are adults who have to balance various responsibilities and professional commitments. My teaching philosophy revolves around acknowledging the distinct challenges and opportunities that come with adult learning. As I begin a new chapter in a different university, my beliefs and values about education and my responsibilities as a teacher take on a new perspective.
Core Values and Beliefs:
1. Respect for Diverse Experiences:
As an educator, I respect and value the diverse experiences and perspectives that adult learners bring to the classroom. I believe that creating an environment that respects and leverages these

experiences is crucial. I strive to facilitate discussions that draw upon the professional backgrounds of my students to create a dynamic and collaborative learning space.
2. Practical Relevance:
I understand that adult learners are motivated by a desire for immediate applicability, and as such, I am committed to ensuring that the content presented in the MBA program is not only theoretically sound but also practically relevant. I integrate real-world examples, case studies, and industry best practices to bridge the gap between theory and application, equipping students with knowledge they can apply directly to their professional roles.
3. Flexible and Adaptable Approaches:
I recognize that adult learners have busy lives, and as such, I embrace flexible and adaptable teaching approaches. I incorporate various modalities such as online resources, asynchronous discussions, and blended learning to accommodate diverse needs. Flexibility is key to meeting the demands of busy professionals pursuing advanced education.
