Ethics Foundations Ethics Foundations Part One: Biblical Relationship The Bible offers an insightful basis for friendship and relationships within the Church. It emphasizes oneness, love, and assistance among faithful ones. From a biblical point of view, there should be strong relationships between people comprising the Church members, and they should consider each other as brothers and sisters under Christ. Proverbs 17:17 says that a true friend loves always, and a brother comes into the world to share the misery (Hill 2017). Such a scriptural realization suggests an extent of linkage between the Church's community members who must remain loving towards each other despite hardships. Biblically-based stress on maintaining relationships helps create the feeling that family members, friends, and even colleagues will stand together and withstand any temptation to depart from the Christian path in the community of the Church. In the Church, friends usually share the same faith and belief system and strive to gain God's grace. Biblical teachings direct people to love and be kind to others, have humility, and forgive each other. There is an increased focus on developing a nurturing environment that facilitates growth and instills a feeling of membership. However, according to the Bible, some relations and friendships outside the Church are still recognized. Even though the Bible stresses fellowship within a community of believers, it acknowledges that Christians interact with those outside the religion. Through his ministry, Jesus demonstrated that believers should be beneficial to the world as he interacted with people of different social origins.
Ethics Foundations Part Two: Relationship Issue In this regard, the issues on which this problem is concerned deal with disclosing the secrets of a women's group to a significant other. Such an act is considered unethical regarding trust and confidentiality, not to mention the destruction that might be caused to the relationship within the group of women involved. This scene is viewed as a betrayal of confidence and trust from beyond a person's private worldview. It is usually assumed that confidential information exchanged among members of a particular group will be confined to the group itself. Such disclosure, even to a close associate, weakens the sense of trust and privacy among the group members. These ethics concerning the story highlight crucial aspects of confidentiality, integrity, and loyalty. These principles should never be treated as mere suggestions because they are vital for maintaining healthy relationships among any community or group. It shows respect for the privacy of others, which creates the trust necessary for meaningful conversations leading to authentic relationships (Rankin, 2019). Confidentiality and trustworthiness are the most essential building stones of ethical actions. Loyalty also adds to the bond between shared values and the reciprocal respect of all community members. This scenario can be broken down using metaethics, normative, applied, and descriptive ethics. Metaethics : The overall principles are focused on in a metaethical analysis of issues. Metaethically speaking, a group must respect and maintain trust and confidentiality guided by the biblical principles of love, unity, and not slandering.
