Live theater may be important in the modern world for the straightforward reason that it encourages people to try new things and leaves them stargazing. I say this mainly because, as stated in "LIVE" Theatre, "Tickets for musicals on Broadway can range from $50 to $1200 per seat." (Act Two: Cues and Concepts) Considering that, it stands to reason that audiences must find live theater to be captivating due to the adrenaline they get before attending a performance. I know I did when the theater class reenacted Oklahoma! during my time in high school and it was actually rather amazing, however a few people behaved disrespectfully by not turning off their phones, which is the first rule because as Benedict Cumberbatch said, "It's mortifying, and there's nothing less supportive or enjoyable, as an actor being onstage, than experiencing that. (bad behavior) And I can't give you what I want to give you, which is a live performance that you will remember hopefully in your minds and brains — whether it's good, bad, or indifferent — rather than on your phones." (ACT II: READING 2. "Stow Your Cameras ...... ") But anyway, the teacher gave each audience member a sheet of paper after the play so we could pretend to be theatrical critics . He instructed us to leave descriptive criticism and prescriptive criticism , which I thought was cool.
