I read The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael Alan Singer. This book will help transform your relationship with yourself and the world around you. You’ll discover what you can do to put an end to the habitual thoughts and emotions that limit your consciousness of your mind. Only by tapping into traditions of meditation and mindfulness, shows how the development of consciousness can enable us all to dwell in the present moment and let go of painful thoughts and memories that keep us from achieving happiness and self- realization. He teaches us that we can learn to love ourselves and be able to let go of the pain from the past. Remembering I remember that he asked me to listen to the voice that is in my head like we can talk but we can't yell in our head because it is our mental dialogue. I remember thinking how much is true that the little voice in our head tells us. Describe what happens when you are trying to have a relaxing afternoon but that voice inside your head is telling you to not go outside but telling you to go outside at the same time it's because the voice in your head can't pick sides. Understanding I have observed that not a lot of people think about the voice in our head or becoming more spiritual. Some people will only choose to pick one religion and stay with it their whole life. In the bible he never really talks about the voice in your head as singer makes it clearer to read and understand it's not complicated or have many meanings like in the bible. Many people will still ask themself questions as they will reading the bible, but I feel like singer's book makes you dig deeper into understanding yourself. Applying
I feel like it will help me have a better understanding of who I am and what I can push myself to accomplish. I can learn to block out the voice in my head and trust my gut because the voice never picks a side and constantly confuses me on what I should do but my gut will always pick one. It will help me when I go into nursing or take a test, so I don’t second guess myself and fail, I’ll always get it right using my knowledge and gut feeling. Analyzing The voice in your head is connected to your consciousness which helps you make decisions on a daily basis. As you are the only one that hears the voices, if you look at it objectively you will see what the voice says is meaningless. Our thoughts have less of an impact on the world than we think if you look at it objectively you will see some of our thoughts have no relevance. Evaluate I suggest you try it and read the book and have a deeper understanding of yourself. Many people will say no because of religion, or they don’t trust it but if you're willing to open your mind go for it. Everyone is different and that's okay everyone has a different view on everything. I feel like people should give the book a chance and see if you like it or not or if you will live a healthier life. Creating What would happen if I decided to look at things from a unique perspective? Changing your perspective can be good for you and you can see things from different perspectives. It can be a good change such as making your bed every morning, working out, drinking more water, and watching your health by organizing.
