This assignment allows you to recognize the importance of ethics, while applying what you have learned. You will be asked to watch the YouTube video, “The Strawberry Lady”. After viewing this video, fill out the following grid: The Strawberry Lady In your own words, define the term, ethics. It’s the principles and morals that we live by. According to your textbook, list the five criteria for being an ethical speaker. 1-have a clear, responsible goal 2-use sound evidence and reasoning 3-sensitive to, and tolerant of, differences 4-honest 5-avoid plagiarism Apply an example from “The Strawberry Lady” for each criteria previously listed, illustrating how the speaker, Christine Zust, did or did not meet those criteria. If the speaker did not meet a certain criterion, offer advice on how she could modify her speech. 1. The speaker’s goal was to reach the audience about credibility. 2.
